Thanks, that's what I figured, but reassuring to hear. Turns out I've actually got a bunch of copper left over from the house too. I know it's just pocket change in the overall cost of a house, but feels like it'll be ni

I recently bought a house and found two catalytic converters in the garage. I'm hoping I can scrap them pretty easily, as I don't want to just throw them out. It's clear they aren't cut off, as all the flanges are presen

I wish the Firefox PDF viewer performed a little better... Lately as I've been working on mapping projects and want to view large PDFs I've found many which need to be saved and opened in Preview.app instead of the browser. This i

I'm really hoping so. I tried that Sam Adams and found it a bit meh, it was also sufficient. Weirdly, ALDI has a NA German beer that's actually pretty all right, and like $7/sixpack. I'm really looking forward to NA Guin

I really wish more 0% beer was available in the US, and at reasonable prices. I've been buying Athletic Brewing stuff lately and it's good, but at $11-$12 for a six-pack it's priced the same as mid-tier microbrews. I can buy

Probably not a coincidence. The Keyhole name was in the public realm prior to this. (It'd been used within the intelligence community since the late 50s.)

Their stand-alone map application Windy Maps is pretty darn nice too. It's a really nice compliment to OsmAnd and GaiaGPS for viewing OSM data, and they've done a good job showing relations which helps illustrate cycling and hikin

Check out the stand-alone Windy Maps app. It's basically their OSM-based map layer, all by itself. It's a decently handy lightweight compliment to other heavier OSM tools like OsmAnd and GaiaGPS.

This morning, not long after reading most of this thread, I went to empty my Bosch dishwasher. It's just shy of a year old, and was a huge upgrade from the 25 year old Maytag it replaced. I keep being concerned about the filter, and ha

I moved entirely. It was mostly the GW that I didn't like. The primary bug was when they changed the maximum SSID length from 32 (standard) to 31 and I could no longer edit my network. I also had a very frustrating ARP bug where ARP br

If it helps, about a year ago I was replacing a UniFi setup at home and I was trying to decide with pfSense or OPNsense. After poking at both in VMs for about a week I settled on OPNsese. My main reasons were that it did everything I wanted

There's a local racetrack here in Waterford, Michigan, US (north of Detroit) which hosts road bike races. It really is a great use, because it's a closed/non-open-to-public route which is generally well paved and free of the

I think I found a bug. When I put 4-Aug-1978 for birthdate, and 41 for age, it said age and birthday don't match. It validated successfully on 42. Although maybe that's part of the game?

With a feature being pulled from already-sold vehicles, I wonder if this'll run into some Lemon Law issues. Because the vehicle no longer does what was sold, which is specifically protected by law in many states.
