I bought a CO2 meter for work, with the intention of taking it into (small) conference rooms once in a while to see what happened to the CO2 there. What I found surprised but pleased me: The CO2 levels at my desk are quite low, spike at nig

Thanks for this info; I appreciate it. I've clearly only just scratched the surface of Ruckus stuff.

Thanks! I completely glossed over the IPv6 thing... At home I don't get native IPv6 from my ISP, so I just tend to forget about that. Although it would be neat. For me I bought my AP on eBay and just plopped the standalone Unleashed fi

Thanks. I'll test this in the morning. AFAIK it works for us, but I don't know for sure. Which RDP client were you using? And did you disable the password provider (leaving just the WHfB factors)? And you had full Windows Hello fo

Can you share info? Because currently for a single site there is no license fee. I've only got one AP at home, but could put a bunch more of wanted. It works so well I wouldn't mind paying some fee, but it'll depend on how mu

Ruckus with the Unleashed firmware. I bought an R610 AP on eBay a few months back, flashed it with the Ruckus firmware (legally available to all from their site), and it does exactly what you want. On-prem only, no cloud, one of the APs wil

How so? In my experience you are prompted to use it, and you can click and use standard credentials if desired. I deployed WHfB at our $LARGE_ENTERPRISE and opted against using BT RSSI as a trusted signal because it's just too unpredic

Look into Windows Hello for Business. It's very nice in the enterprise for all of this. Native facial recognition or fingerprint, and various other factors can be added.

The water needs to go somewhere to generate power. Most water tables are much closer to the surface than 1000 meters. Meaning, the water would have no way to go without pumping it back up...

I'm honestly a bit surprised to see this. As someone who was fairly active in the MAME cabinet scene back in ~2000 [1] and owned a 4-slot MVS cab for a while, I don't remember ever hearing about this. Then again, it was in-arcade

Why isn't Mikrotik an option for you? (I don't know much about this space and feature-wise they seem pretty useful for me.)

The pump and patch kit are effectively static weight on a bike. What's referred to as rotating mass on a bike (usually talking about wheels+tires) is noticeable. Maybe not as much on your city bike, but the thing that usually makes a b

I moved from LastPass to 1Password some time in early 2020 and never looked back. The browser add-in alone on 1Password is SO much faster that I feel it alone has saved me a bunch of time.

It's often as simple as mis-tagging. I do a lot of mapping of mountain bike trails (think narrow, hiking-type trails which are also open to bikes) and these are designated as paths (highway=path), open to cycles (bicycle=yes or bicycle

This is incredibly unfortunate because Slide is ideal for mapping trails in the woods. Lacking something like it I end up tracing them by hand, which is a pain. (I do a lot of trail mapping in Michigan.)
