Depends on the speakers I think. My floor standing speakers have front-firing woofers so putting them close to the wall doesn't matter that much for the sound.

Clumsy idiot. I completely understand an accident can happen, but almost throwing an expensive laptop to the floor _every week_ sounds like you don't appreciate having access to such a nice piece of technology. I really don't unde

If I recall correctly the Apple screen time app delisting was because all the other apps misused the "MDM" (device management) functionality against the conditions they were allowed to use it. Technically it was impossible to agre

The days games where complete packaged single player experiences are long gone (unless you're Nintendo). Games are tools: kids see each other in a game of Fortnite and visit concerts together. That makes Fortnite a communication/m

I don’t know, but if you’re shipping mainboards with soldered on RAM it could be worth it to test the modules before soldering to reduce the amount of returns where you have to replace the entire board.

In what universe is Apple (a private company) responsible for the growth of the Web as an app platform? (which was not a design consideration when the web was invented). And who could make a sincere argument of being damaged by Apple not ca

Maybe that's the 'most sure' way to generate money from games, but in my opinion most of those games are bland and generic. Maybe you just want money and don't care about who will play your game, but hard-core optimising

I own a pair of midrange Dali speakers which use compressed paper cones and sound really great. You need some material which is rigid enough to push the sound waves in the air, but light enough it can be pushed to high frequencies. If plast

So, macOS is too restrictive and Gnome should not be in a position where somebody 'calls the shots'. Seems like any way you see it you still have no control over your machine. May I suggest you write your own desktop environment?

Fine, so you can port tuxracer to it. If you want to play an actual game people care about and think there are game companies building those for PureOS you're delusional.

10 app windows doesn't sound like a lot to me. Besides that, if you enable resolution scaling macOS renders at a higher internal resolution and lets the compositor scale it down. Try that on a 5k screen...

I'd guess the 'realistic' scenario helped. I know a lot of folks who wouldn't touch a game with a fantasy setting ("it's for children"), but are ok with a game with a setting based in reality. Also, simpli

Apple is nowhere near 'owning the entire pie'. If anything, by adding the ARM option to the pie it increases the amount of competition. A few years ago (before AMD rebounded with Ryzen) Intel was also a de-facto monopoly, but the
