If the cost to upgrade windows is $1930 then won't an unfamiliar OS for users like mac os or linux cost more? I bet windows xp stays a pretty major OS for a couple more years unless something new and useful is needed for win7

I have a laptop with no windows key and am forced to use stumpwm because of the awkward positioning I have to use if it were bound to caps lock as alt is needed for emacs stumpwm isn't bad though just xmonad is really nice when you have a d

The author seems to be in a windows environment and would probably benefit from like etexteditor which is pretty good, the thing about windows is that it seems really hard to use vim in as I'm used to going to a directory or using autocompl

Well it is a good idea from a book readers standpoint, my mother reads about 6 books a week and she and her friends and her mother-in-law all exchange books that they have bought this new feature could get them to buy an ebook reader.

For windows one of the better clients is foobar (I use itunes for the ipod and foobar for listening), for linux well you are kinda sol if you want a good music player (mpd with a gui client or ncmpcpp come somewhat close).

Not to skew your point because indeed bees are attracted to honey but that image search has less meaning as many honeypots have bees on them while traditionaly bears are shown as being attracted to honey and therefore honeypots.

I think this completely missed the point of the article, it wasn't that 'makers' were unwilling or unable to work under a managers schedule it was that 'makers' are more productive when they are able to work straight through their problems
