Given that they're both TypeScript subsets with similar goals, how close is STS to AssemblyScript? And is WebAssembly also a planned or possible compilation target of STS?

That feels like the best way to save the brand. Cut a Perl 7 release concurrently with the Raku v1 release, and just get on a regular schedule of incrementing the version every 6 or 12 months. Edit: Okay, starting from the minor version in

This is the sole reason I recently upgraded to a souped up 2015 MBP: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/review/B07WCCW4GS/R50D0AGJ5M872 I expect this to last me a decent handful of years; if Apple hasn't

It's also incorrect usage of promises; idiomatically no part of that code should be nested more than two levels deep. But yeah, async/await would be both cleaner to read and easier to write correctly. (Ultimately a minor issue at

How bizarre. I was wondering if you and I had read the same post here; turns out we hadn't. The original answer that I read yesterday has since been removed by the mods for some reason. --- [-] ImOuttaThyme66 points 16 hours ago [Their

I don't use standard, but FWIW I like this approach. npm install can output thousands of ads for all I care if it means software I depend on is better maintained. At that point I'd probably never see most of the ads, but, eh, I do

iTerm is awesome, thanks for the great work! Using macOS without an alternative to Yakuake would have been extremely painful. Two pain points I'm running into with this release: 1. The tab titles just say the profile name (in my case,

That's not how I read the title. I think it's impressive that it's faster despite being written in Rust. Maybe Rust also makes it easier to write fast code (I couldn't say one way or another), but it's great that

That's true in some cases, but untrue often enough that I disagree. In my experience, interrupters frequently assume something entirely different from what was actually being said, or even cut off the speaker before a "but" a

How big a problem is this if you re-oil afterwards? I use soap and just apply jojoba oil (and aloe) after showering, which I understand is similar to human oil, but it's unclear to me whether it's truly a good enough 1:1 replaceme

Devil's advocate: is this not a legitimate concern? e.g. can viruses potentially be transmitted via bar soap? I use bar soap in my own shower, but I still prefer not to use someone else's bar soap and I use equivalent liquid/

I have mixed feelings about "Reduce". It is hard to use and, most of the time, hard to read as well. It's too low-level. Fair enough. I'd certainly always prefer a special case like `.sum()` over something like `.reduc

I agree with the sentiment, but not with Go's interpretation. To me, higher-order functions like map and reduce are much easier to read than the equivalent for loops and are less likely to have subtle bugs (off-by-one errors, etc.) bec

Does (or will) this support SCSS, and Angular HTML, and JavaScript/TypeScript/JSX? I'm on a project right now where a tool like that will be immensely helpful pretty soon.
