Can you get any of those three frameworks to expose arbitrary views? One of my biggest complaints with all of them is that they seem to only expose objects.

I tried provigil for two weeks and it made me feel like a zombie. I was less sleepy but I felt kind of 'hazy', like there was something between myself and my thoughts slowing down the interaction. It did make me slightly more productive,

Incidentally, this site is almost unusable on an android phone. Flash and detail popups that are always floating off the side of the screen, despite scrolling. It would also be nice if there were links to the market so I could read reviews

I've been waiting on approval from legal for a diff viewing tool. It has been under review for over a year now. On the one year anniversary of the ticket I pasted in an ascii art birthday cake and there has finally been some progress. It is

That is definitely an underlying problem. Interviews are too short and too stressful to accurately show how good a candidate is. I'm not particularly good in interviews because I get nervous and stumble over my words. It is not at all like

That's a fair point. There are certainly people who apply to Amazon after having made a couple websites, thinking that Amazon is just a website so they're qualified. What they don't see is all of the intense engineering that happens to keep

That would probably be more useful, but it doesn't scale. An interview like that takes up a ton of resources and can leave a bad impression on a candidate. Not only are you paying for devs to help and evaluate the candidate, you are doing t

In my experience interviewing candidates for Amazon(1), there is definitely a talent shortage. We get a surprising amount of applicants that can't write a basic program. Personally, I reject 4/5 of all applicants at the phone screen because

I'm curious about the author's opinion of the puzzles he had to answer while interviewing. I know most of us in the US are used to this style of interview, so it would be interesting to hear more about Pau's experience. I've been reading up

Part of the exercise was to always respond truthfully. I didn't make any distinction between omitting truth and actively lying. I never really lied to people in the first place, but I would offer standard niceties. Those counted as lying an

If you haven't figured it out already, this is a terrible, terrible idea. I tried a variant of this for about two years in college and it caused way more problems than it solved (actually, I don't think it solved any problems). Despite wh

Life at Google sounds like a fairy tale. Things I've had to buy myself to work better at Amazon: 1. A better chair (Steelcase Leap). They give us some shitty chair that's barely adjustable. 2. A second monitor. Yup, they give us one monit

There are such laws, but they only apply to political candidates, and only on TV & Radio. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equal-time_rule This definitely doesn't apply to websites, though, so I was half wrong.

Maybe they should black out current events and all information about political candidates. That would get the attention of a lot of people. They might be ensnared in the equal exposure laws during an election season, though.

That's a neat idea. Kind of like geographically localized chat rooms? We've been considering that as a demo app for the platform. The initial idea was just to mark a point and a radius for a chat room, then when users enter the area they'd
