2 watts per core at 3GHz is pretty impressive, what nanometer are they at? But still memory bandwidth is going to restrain those 128 cores to do anything joint parallel, you might actually be better off with many smaller 4-8 core machines.

No, SD cards use flash memory which is based on quantum flips. There wont be anything substantially better per GB/W/durability/$ than 65nm SLC just like 28nm is pretty much the peak of transistor size advantages. The lower yo

Tunneling increases latency. Seen that the final medium/media is a 3D action MMO we don't have time for that latency.

Only use consumer SanDisc or industrial Panasonic SLC (no longer manufactured) SD cards, all other brands are scams. The SD cards have peaked at 1TB but they are getting cheaper. (so far) Only use Intel SATA SSDs, I bought X25-E SLC drives

For small web to exist all fiber ISPs need to provide fixed external IPs and open ports 25, 53 and 80. Dynamic DNS is a hardcoded rentseeking joke in most routers, they never wanted an open standard for that. I'm making my own DynDNS b

Raspberry 4 is probably the most likely candidate right now. Because you need a user base to make the software carry itself. Also from a power point of view 7W is pretty much what we have to play with if everyone is going to have one powere

Effectively the M1 CPUs couple a Raspberry 2 with a Raspberry 4. Balancing what runs on what cores you can shut off the Raspberry 4 when you don't need it, which is most of the time as the GPU carries a heavy load. Try watching a MP4 m

Thx! So back to MinGW it is! I'm surprised this is so hard to find, why is there no official redistributable compiler for Windows?! What is Microsoft so afraid of? This is the only disadvantage Windows has compared to Linux! I guess yo

OSGI is bloated and pretentious, just use the classloader, it takes 300 lines of code and you have the best container in the world, see my Archive class: https://github.com/tinspin/rupy/blob/master/src&#x

Compute shaders are trying to fit an elephant on a scooter. The reason Unity has poor animation performance with Mechanim is that they use compute shaders for skin mesh animation so they can apply shaders across assets but that forces them

What is System Software? Like an OS? I'm 99% settled on using Java on the server and C on the client for the rest of my life.

Since you should not be working in ways that create merge conflicts if you can avoid it I would say a simple distributed disk backup would be enough for 99% of programmers.
