Not OP, but perhaps he meant size of data passed directly in a request which is indeed 10MB: https://cloud.google.com/functions/quotas I don't think I had any issues loading larger files from Storage either.

I wonder why there are no specialised, vertical search engines? One for developers, another for local stuff, yet another for products. Some sites are strong enough to work as such - SO for devs, Yelp for local, Amazon for products - but tha

The article mentions the need for "habitat corridors" so wild animals can move "freely" to find new mating/hunting grounds. Apparently, Poland has relatively well developed network of corridors across the entire cou

"I'm not sure how we can save the climate without it [lab-grown meat]." Why? It doesn't seem logical at all - I'm pretty sure there are more efficient and healthier ways to feed humans and it seems that the main rea

perhaps it's "wasting time" that is considered "juvenile" and just because more people have enough time to waste some of it doesn't make playing games any more "adult". I have nothing against games, i

Following your logic, Fortnite's add-ons should clearly be free since the cost to make and sell them is minuscule in comparison to 400M Epic made in April alone [0]. [0] https://venturebeat.com/2020/06/15/

I don't care that much for my own health, but I do care about my ecological footprint. Not because of X units of satisfaction I'll take from glaciers thirty years from now, but because I don't treat the world as my property.

Wouldn't the safety standards change if all cars would weight X% of current mass? According to quick googling cars got heavier: "The average new car weighed 3,221 pounds [1461 kg] in 1987 but 4,009 pounds [1818kg] in 2010." [

If we could start from scratch, shouldn't cars be made of plastic to reduce weight?

I assume you mean tax paid with money? That's not a solution. Most, if not all the ways that people make money require emitting more carbon and producing more waste. Such tax would lead to fatal feedback loop. I'd love to see some

I don't think this is about "attractive choices". Either our lifestyles (and those who will live after us) are sustainable or not. If they are not, we should consider changing our behaviour.

Is this a genuine question? There is no obligation to make more than 40k. Instead of making more money you could just work less and do what you like/love (as long as it's not bad for environment).

Perhaps, we should wave this magic wand to make you order less stuff? No tech can save us unless we start to consume less. Also, we should care less about optimising our time which we are likely to waste anyway on netflix and co.

Well, I personally witnessed an occurrence, where a reporter WASN'T at the scene, and yet I later read what she had written about it in the newspaper as if she had been present. It was a really nice review of a show that... was cancell

Server logs only tell you about things that happen on your server. If you are using JavaScript it's likely there are plenty of events that might be valuable to you that never leave a trace in your logs. For example, if you validate for

Attaching devices to trees is actually a serious challenge that people are working on in order to provide better fire detection systems. Major obstacle is charging and there were, unsuccessful AFAIK, attempts to charge them using the energy
