i'm looking forward to the day calculus gets rewritten using more intuitive notations. Everytime i manipulate dx i feel like walking on a minefield.

How does RAII works in concurrent systems ? It seems to me you need to add compile-time object lifetime evaluation (as in rust) which so far incurs a high toll on language complexity.

A friend of mine , 15 years ago (ios 3), already predicted that the only reason why apple would stash that amount of cash was if they planned on turning into a bank. Hats off to you, my friend !

I think on the contrary, that the number of brilliant people being paid for doing nothing at google is what slows US down compared to china. Only monopoles like google can afford to burn so much cash. And that's a clear loss for the ec

There's really something missing today as opposed to the 80s and 90s : back in the days, you had new computer brands coming out every year, with they own OSs and hardware... It really was a perpetual amazement and joy. Of course at tha

Anyone knows whether there are fundamental differences in the approach waymo took vs tesla, or are they following the same algorithms and techniques, with more polishing or experience in the "small details that makes all the difference

i think we’re not talking about the same thing. I’m not saying it’s hard for a experienced software dev . I’m saying it requires a level of skill that is on par with a professional software developer. Meaning this system can already replac

What you describe was my experience (with swift code too, on mobile). Until i tried it with web dev. Then maybe it’s due to the popularity of web tech compared to swift, i don’t know ( I should try it with react native to see), but there is
