I did that with the Wyze Pan cam we used to keep an eye on our son when he was an infant. Same app functionality but we could also do an RTSP stream out and I could keep an eye on my desktop while working.

How does this counter the posts of Russian soldiers claiming to have mined the dam back in December [1] as well as the US Government claiming to have intelligence that says otherwise[2]? It would be mighty stupid of Ukraine to destroy their

A good chunk of the more interesting code I've seen around is usually attributed to someone from Russia or the Eastern Bloc. Doesn't seem weird to me at all. It isn't Siberia in a literal sense but I think this was the point

We had what seemed like full connectivity loss for about 5 minutes this morning. Came back as quick as it went, Spectrum fiber outside Raleigh, NC.

If the NixOS team cannot handle this then I question their capabilities. This is cake work.

Seriously, there is a large amount of comments of people who seem terrified of this or throw out "but but updates and failing hardware". We run multi PB storage on prem at work and it's just fine. Not some massive team runnin

Not enough I'm sure but more than zero. Out of the $30 you pay for the plate it looks like $20 goes to the fund for that cause. So it's not a small amount.

Yeah it isn't that hard. File it as lost/stolen and get a replacement. When I sold my last car I forgot to turn in my NC amateur radio plate with my callsign. I guess they recycle them. When I went to finally do it the lady at the

Eh, I like my choice of plate design here in NC. Our previous, Save The Honeybee: https://scontent-iad3-2.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.6435-9/138097239_1... Current, NC Aquariums: https://www.obxtoday.com/wp-

Straterra is an option but I believe works like an anti-depressant. My experience wasn't great with it, but who knows? If it works for you that's great!

Never understood the states with no safety inspection at the least. NC does both, emissions depend on county, and I don't see as many cars on the road that make me nervous to be around.

Cool, let me tell my grandparents who are on a fixed income that they need to replace their heating and stovetop because they're dirty polluters and it's totally only going to cost a month or two of their after necessities money t

There are also, depending on the state, still gas stations that sell ethanol free fuel. The station up the street from me sells it but it is about 20 to 30 cents per gallon more expensive.

Yep, $2 for Food Lion brand shredded wheat or $5 for name brand shredded wheat. Not only that but the name brand has had an issue lately with having a lot of burnt tasting pieces. It's only $3 difference but the different in quality (n

Those are four states. We're currently without wind and have clouds in Pennsylvania where I'm visiting family, how do you propose we generate enough electricity and cover this coming weekend where there will be rain and clouds.

Depends maybe on the airport but flying out of San Diego, they pulled a bag of breast milk from my girlfriends bag and tested the liquid inside. They allowed the larger size through but still did scrutinize the actual liquid.

Won't find that opinion from me. I take Adderall after having been denied it (by my mom) as a teenager and it basically turned my life around. If people have surgery and need opiates, as long as it's controlled and monitored like

I absolutely do not. I see AWS outages and issues with provisioning all the time at work. Last time my home server went down was because the power went out and we don't have a generator.

Doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I see cars on the road in CA that somehow pass emissions but are in extraordinarily bad mechanical shape since there is no safety inspections. As long as the air is clean I guess. Since I'm no

Will second this. I typically work later in to the day/night because our son is loud during the day and it can be hard to focus so I shift my hours.

It seems like a weird coping or logic mechanism? I don't get it. I'm not replacing the motor every 10k in my car. And the recent engine rebuild on my "race" car didn't even come near that cost using definitely more

Where? At 50k miles our last car had less than $2k in maintenance done and still was covered under warranty. We replaced one set of tires in that cost as well. I would say had we kept it to 90k miles we would still be less than or at 2k tot

When you block ads network wide their apps play a generic PlutoTV logo loop while they should be on. Oddly my son seems to like the visuals and music on those so that's a nice unintentional side effect of blocking ads.

FYI with Spectrum fiber make sure you're getting 500mbit upload. I had to fight them to get that fixed since my address still showed up as copper and was provisioned as such (1000/30 or whatever it is)

Yep, the N54 out of my 335i had timing chains. Replacing that during the engine build wasn't fun, but it was still solid at 130k.
