It seems like we could have gotten all the clicks we wanted, but they wouldn't convert.

A personal anecdote: we tried advertising on Facebook to people aged 30+ who are interested in Catholicism (and other similar keywords) for http://BeadifulRosaries.com/ and had absolutely no luck at all. We spent a lot of time crafting ad

Very cool but likely 1) very hot and 2) very expensive (seriously though, any guitarist will attest to the fact that replacing tubes isn't cheap!).

Some people like it as it keeps their mind on SEO and their keywords. We also offer a weekly option which might be more appropriate for some.

The same thing I said in their comments (dunno if they'll approve my blatant self-promotion): If anyone is interested in automating their fetish for checking their organic SEO rankings, I’d be happy to give you a free spin in my app http:/

Perhaps you could clarify or point me to some more information on this? Even as a (somewhat amateur) jazz musician, musical pivots have always eluded me.

I know HN usually gets silly on the weekends, but this is generally good advice.

When I see these sorts of things, I like to imagine that in 10 years we'll be playing Doom 3 run off Javascript in a browser. You know, march of progress and all.

It merely helped in my situation. If 3.1.3 ran at 100%, 4.0 ran at 40-50% and 4.1 bumped it back up to 60-70% at best (in my experience).

I don't think that is a fair comparison. Going out of your way to buy a new version of Windows (which has clear hardware requirements) and slapping it on old hardware is much different than syncing your phone and following directions for a

I'll admit, I upgraded my 3G to the 4 because of how uselessly slow it was. I wonder if I can get a piece of the class action?

I'll second Idiorm, we use it on http://rothira.com/ for all the simple stuff like saving leads. It's perfectly lightweight for something like that.

In the same vein as Cython if you just wanna speed up your Python code, take a look at Psyco as well. It's a "just-in-time (JIT) compiler" which means I have no clue how it works, but it does.

Believe it or not, I did something similar to this a while back: http://bryanhelmig.com/notorious-b-i-g-crack-commandments-in... In fact, I think this sort of abstraction is a useful way to internalize all that "business advice" you read

Cynically stating that PayPal is truly attempting to "steal" from their customers is incorrect. Based on most of what I've read (and I, like everyone here, have read a of PayPal horror stories...), PayPal "stealing" is really just PayPal gi
