I wanted to do method swizzling in Objective C around 10 years ago. The methods for removing/replacing selectors where deprecated around that time.

This kind of stuff used to work in Objective-C too, but it was removed step by step for performance reasons. If you allow it, for every call you do to such an object you have to first check if the method exits on it or somewhere up the inhe

Exactly. Stuffy and drab is a great way to describe it. I was reminded of my school days a lot when I was there. There is a interactive game in the astronomy section which belongs in a museum for other reasons then it is.
