As someone who dropped out of a PhD program: the most important metric is the drop out rate for the research group you are in. If you can get it for your thesis advisor, it's even better. There are people who see all graduate students

This is called 'End User Development' or 'End user Programming'. There is a book called 'A Small Matter of Programming' by Bonnie Nardi on this, which is worth a read. My point of view is that everyone who want

Exactly. Most of the time, the problem is not to find out what people want and put it into software. The problem is to help people in the process of discovering what they want and what can be done. After that, development can begin.

SAP committed itself to oData. With Fiori Elements you can generate UIs from oData endpoints. Their super crappy frontend framework UI5 also integrates with it quite strongly.

I tried something like that in 2016 with Javascript. I parsed the source code and put every AST node on IPFS and linked it to the other node using the hashes. The problem was that this is a _lot_ of overhead...

Strokes are _very_ common. It‘s the third most common cause for death (or something in that ballpark). A lot of the leading figures in psychedelics lived long lives. Incidentally, Alexander Shulgin also died at 88. Albert Hoffman lived to 1
