Taking an art class to meet different people is one thing. You at least have to grapple with the material. You are on equal footing with other students. Showboating, or "offering to help" in something you have already learned thor

They at least had to attempt to earnestly learn the material. Going into "easy" courses you have already mastered to force interactions with others is different.

There is an assumption in a class that you are there to learn the curriculum in some way. The seniors in this case are interested only in the other students. The class/coursework is only a prop for them to force interactions with other

Presumably the employer wants/needs a staff. If they didn't they'd have gone contractor-only a long time ago. The immediate incentive is that the staff they want/need isn't doing the thing. A strike is not a protest

Interesting, my takeaway from the article to be honest in almost all cases. Positive disagreement seemed like a good example of being honest in a pro-social way. Expressing your honest view in a way that doesn't shut anyone down. The a

Is this really true at car companies? I don't know, legitimately curious My sense at least is that at some point every company becomes "interchangeable people with business degrees and MBAs" I agree that line is fairly low in

I disagree. The problem with Null in my opinion is that it is the default and can easily be created accidentally. There's nothing inherently wrong with an "absence of value, value" Optional.empty is not null, it's no-val

Inflation today is largely due to higher energy costs due to the sanctions with Russia, as I understand it. Money is worth less because the cost to make and move things is more. It's not the case that workers have too much cash, which
