Is it possible to get alerts with Prometheus, as powerful as those of zabbix?

I thought the story was pretty good, it's a nice change from the all-facts texts I usually read. Other great examples (though in a whole other league) are the phoenix project and the unicorn project, where the characters learn along th

But it's not a question of "taking a role". It's a question of where your expertise is. You should definitely have proper time lines, that has nothing to do with full stack developers. Downtime? If downtime is an issue f

This is not at all fullstack to me. Imho; a fullstack developer is a person who can develop all pieces of an application (or game, or whatever) and put it in production, maintain it, improve it. I.e. design the database or other persistence

In my experience, the number one way to get good performance is by using caches properly. Preferably cache as close to the consumer as possible, for example using a cdn. If you can't afford/use a cdn, then enable equivalent cachin

Packaging your applications as docker images from the beginning requires little extra effort, but gives you a number of deployment options and if you grow it will be easy to move to eg. k8s. Setup your servers using ansible, puppet or simil

I agree, "alt tab" with "tab support" would be nice. But it's equally nice to use Firefox, turn off tabs, and let the window manager do it's magic (uh.. with a little help form alttab if youre on osx;)

Unfortunately, far too much talent is wasted into making good developers into bad managers. It's great with managers that have domain knowledge, but having domain knowledge does not make you a good manager.

I might be missing something, but how do you efficiently switch apps in expose?

The problem with expose is it is slow. You need to visually search for the right window, then select it. (Unlike the equivalent in KDE that lets you filter by window title by just typing)

This application and another one called rectangle (for managing window location easily) is what makes Mac os life bearable for me. The computer to me is a tool and thus switching window / focus should be swift and efficient. KDE lets m

Having a home is definitely expensive, but in my mind it also comes down to manage money. When you get your pay, put aside money first and save for dedicated budgets. Decide what budget you think is required in each slot. Example: I want a

I've been using windows, Macos and KDE extensively. I by far prefer KDE. I think things work pretty much as well on Linux/KDE as they do on Mac/win. The apple mantra "it just works" is just not true. With Linux/

I think one problem of gql relates to caching. Using rest, it's dead easy to enable caching on load balancer or CDN level with background updates. But with graphql- it's not so trivial. Youll have to do workarounds by caching POST

The largest reason I don't do this is because I ssh into a lot of different servers and then won't have my unique aliases or scripts readily available. Is there an easy way other than copy paste to rectify this?

Regarding VPN, you probably have your VPN config wrong. Either you want it to use a DNS server on the remote network (connecting to a LAN at the office for example) or not. Check your VPN config, it should update systemd settings automatica
