It's ready for iPhone chat out of the box? K, this is exactly what I've been waiting for. I understand there are other developer-friendly chat services out there, but for a 'content guy' like me this is a dream. Not the first time a Y Combi

I reblogged Alaska's tumblr update telling him same, and basically guaranteeing that you and Ed would be in for grabbing beers. Glad to be validated by your response here.

Love finding other Pittsburgh YC'ers. Drop me an email sometime - I'd love to get together and shoot the bull.

I know you say that tongue-in-cheek, but it's a good point. I'd love to see a few samples of sales letters and business proposals that have worked for YC'rs. 'Softer' than term sheets, but it would still be instructional.

You can disagree -- fine -- but we've been using entreprneurship, entrepreneurism, and entrepreneurialism to say the same thing (i.e., the act of being an entrepreneur). At least two of the previous three cases are fine. The third misses th

Love the video! But a small nitpick about the headline: While entrepreneurialism is a word, entrepreneurship or entrepreneurism is almost always more effective for its brevity.

There's a lot of truth here. I had to begin my schooling at a branch campus because I wasn't accepted at my first choice. But it lit a fire under my butt. I worked hard, took summer courses at a community college, and ultimately transferred

This is a really timely product given the recent discontinuation of Google Print Ads system. Nice effort. My only recommendation: I'd like to see what the My Inko control panel will look like before I decide to sign up for an account.

No problem guys... this should work out well for each of us. I'll send an email with my info. EDIT: Scratch that. Looks like I'll need your email addresses to refer you. You'll each get a $25 credit and I'll net $20 total. Not bad. My addre

Your maxim seems overly simplistic. I don't see the connection between how well you execute something and how it jibes with your ethical convictions. I can think of a few things that were done well, but for which the perpetrators ought not

I'm pretty sure this came up before and PG's short answer was that while he isn't opposed to a search bar, it's a feature and features take time. And that time's a resource he didn't have between managing a new YC funding cycle and getting

Try http://getharvest.com for time-tracking + invoicing. Plans are cheap (the $12/mo starter plan should suit you) and you can easily interface with services such as Basecamp and QuickBooks should your business grow into the need for it.

Throw the launch mindset to the wind. I think our preoccupation with a huge launch owes more to its sexiness than to its practical importance for a startup. You may catch lightning in a bottle with a launch that's met with a ton of fanfare.

I think everyone's susceptible to this sort of frenetic behavior when it comes to knowledge work. We all have our own coping mechanisms, but mine may help you: Start each day's work the night before by considering the big-level picture of w

Taken at face value business majors are surprisingly conservative. They're there because mom and dad told them it would be safe/smart, and in other cases because they couldn't think of anything else to study. So it's in those impractical ma

What are you implying? That a biologist would be a chemist if s/he were smarter? That a chemist would be a physicist, and a physicist a mathematician? Doesn't sound like a particularly useful (or accurate) way of looking at the world.

It would be more interesting if the results converged even a little bit to the results of credible polls. I know Obama's leading by a margin... but 95/2/3 (Dem,Rep,Ind)? It's a neat idea with a nice implementation, but the selection bias
