   > Not sure why the AI community has a weird obsession… Can you elaborate on this “obsession”? Aren’t a lot of AI things made/implemented by for-profit companies? Google, Meta, Midjourney, etc?

Gotta love all these articles navel-gazing about the cause of teenage depression by econ bloggers. Has anybody done a poll and asked teens what they’re sad about? It’s really quite funny to see somebody take Matt Yglesias seriously. The sel

Maybe. I’m pretty frugal and a big fan of doing things myself. I certainly hope that they can some day can provide me with enough value to make spending $20 a no-brainer, but until that’s obvious or unavoidable, I’m not giving them $20 ¯\_(

I got one of these a couple years ago for reading comic books and it’s been pretty great. My only gripe was having to use Fire Toolkit to get rid of all the Amazon-specific crud.

“Writing flashy headlines for less than groundbreaking content” isn’t a nefarious conspiracy, it’s just a hallmark of kind of mediocre media. It’s not some big conspiracy, it’s just boring. If I were to write an article about how I think [p

The point of the article seems more like NY Mag getting clicks by having one of their writers throw together a rebuttal to some recently popular tweets. I think the lack of seriousness is highlighted by the paragraph I quoted along with o

I hope this pricing impacts ChatGPT+ $20 is equivalent to what, 10,000,000 tokens? At ~750 words/1k tokens, that’s 7.5 million words per month, or roughly 250,000 words per day, 10,416 words per hour, 173 words per minute, every minute

What would constitute proof? If your point is “proof is subjective” then yeah, I guess all words can be if you want them to. There’s no proof that hotdogs aren’t somersaults. There isn’t even a lab full of professionals studying this quest
