I got one of these a couple years ago for reading comic books and it’s been pretty great. My only gripe was having to use Fire Toolkit to get rid of all the Amazon-specific crud.
- dsr_ 4y agoYeah, but you only have to do it once. I keep mine floating over my bed; it's great for comics and pretty good for ebooks. The best upgrade would be a screen with better blacks. - cf100clunk 4y agoFire Toolkit (v30.2 as I type this) is an absolute must on recent Amazon tablets. It is a kludge, always having to readapt to Amazon's latest anti-hacking, anti-rooting whims, but it helps power users take greater control of their HD Tab in many ways. https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/windows-tool-fire-toolbox-v30-2.3889604/ https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/windows-tool-fire-toolbox...
