I think age-ism isn’t that relevant when you’re under 40. There will be limited positions for someone who wants staff+ compensation though.

Rain when it's 40F out hits different. It's not 70 and raining. It makes you much colder.

Man - you grew up in such a sheltered world. The real world is much more cruel for most of us. You might have said you were a "tiny kid" but you were truly never at odds. I was constantly beat up, physically, until I was 16. It wa

I mean - great advice if you’re as big as the bully. As a kid who was often smaller than kids 2-3 younger than him all the way to his senior year in high school… Can’t say that advice would go over well.

One aspect that is avoided here is that it’s basically impossible to be a lifer unless you were able to time the housing market. Taking lower wages just isn’t possible for people under 30 if they want a home. If you bought in your early 30s

Sounds like you weren’t in a competitive program that constantly tried to get people to drop from college altogether. I was. Didn’t have anywhere near the free time and the lack of stress I do post-college. Helps that I also make a good chu

Yep. Avoided it for a while. Managed to go to week long dance camps and never get it. Then I spent a few days in NYC and got it in July of 2022. Convinced I got it from the subway or something of the sort. It’s possible I got it elsewhere o

Very few men are going to sex work purely for the physical aspect. They’re going for an emotional component as well. It’s a weird argument to say that the cure for incels is to socialize sex work. It’s not going to solve anything. Most men

The sex work often is at the cost of other things. We might have something relatively safe and financially good for some women. However - this is taking lots of money from men who are unable to attract women. They’re taking money from men

Nah - I have very high self esteem. I just happen to not be good looking. It’s boomer-talk to think that people don’t care about looks these days. The way people date has changed.

They’d like to but they can’t find anyone who’d do it anyway. Moot point about incentives if no one is willing to date you at all. Physical attraction is everything these days.

It’s definitely grim out there for most young men these days. I’m 32 and make the money those girls are looking for but I can’t get a date to save my life cause I don’t have the looks. (Average in almost all aspects) I’ve made offers to my

You’re a very physically attractive man if you managed to get 40 dates in one year. Your experience will be nothing like that of an average looking man.

If everyone is saying you’re not doing your job well then they might have a point. The issue is that’s it’s often just a PM or EM saying it and no one else. Firings are often made based upon how the manager feels and that’s all it takes.

Matching is two way - you're liking the homophobe in that scenario too. Tinder is more of a hookup app anyway. It's a different market/mindset.

Prostitution isn’t going to solve anything here though. Men want love as much as women do. Sex is just another happy aspect of being in a loving relationship. Most men don’t get any more fulfillment from having empty ONS than women do.

People are staring at their smartphones because there are less communal spaces than before and less energy put towards having them. Read some Robert Putnam. This was happening well before screens could be blamed.
