Wait a second! I’ve heard this one before…

At first I read this as “catch your own types” and thought it was going to be a bit on exception handling. Kind of ironic.

I mean we can go back and forth on this all day long. What’s the conclusion you’re driving towards?

Keep an open mind because there's lots to learn. Don't worry too much about "specializing" in a particular area. Keep pushing yourself to get better. Make sure you're having fun! If you're not having fun for a

Off topic but the “More Tweets” section under this tweet is just…full of trash memes.

Considering the lack of adoption in voice assistants even _inside_ the "walled gardens" of the device manufacturers, this seems a bit...inevitable.

Okay so don't always ship on a Friday but that doesn't seem like rationale to put a blanket rule in place.

Yeah...those aren't the same thing.

An exception should not dictate the rule. Sounds like there were some safety mechanisms missing. You indeed need a mature system (and engineering team) to manage this process.

Your infrastructure should heal itself if it comes “down.” A decent release pipeline can fix this. Those companies don’t practice release moratoriums on Fridays.

I think you inadvertently hit the nail on the head here. UX teams looooove to geek out about design systems. If leadership doesn’t understand design (which, let’s face it, they typically understand less than software engineering) the UX fol

Not shipping on Fridays in 2023 is an infrastructure smell.

Eh, in some places (Portugal, for instance) it means, like, actual communist. Sometimes even financed by the Russian party.

Honestly interested to see how these go. I haven't found a home speaker system that I like yet. I don't care too much about the voice assist features as my home is not so connected. Too bad they're like 20% more expensive her
