I would bet against Apple shipping any mobile phone with 32GB of RAM - even if the cost were acceptable the increased power draw likely would not be.

It looks like the OLED version is replacing the LCD one for the 512/1TB models. It's just the specific colourway that's limited. I'm in a similar boat - I'm gonna keep my LCD 512GB Steam Deck.

Also depending on how easily you can scale these semiconductors down, you may not need such complex cores. CPUs today are complex to (amongst other things) improve IPC - but if you’re really talking a 10^6 improvement in clock speed, I woul

Gsync/variable refresh rate should be able to make that work. Even if the display doesn’t go down to 24Hz, it only needs to drop to 144Hz to be an integer multiple of 24Hz - you’d just get each frame being displayed for 6 frames.

The Glasgow Interface Explorer [0] is starting to ship out now as well. I got mine a couple weeks back. It’s a neat option for a multi-purpose debug tool. [0] - https://www.crowdsupply.com/1bitsquared/glasgow

Rewriting code can equally introduce bugs. Maybe it’s worth it for things with significant attack surface - but certainly not everything qualifies.

Fun to see this on here. I’ve recently been writing a usb_device [0] implementation for the CH32X035 [1] microcontroller and it was very helpful when trying to work out why enumeration wasn’t working. [0] - https://github.com

I’m not really sure why you say that. Bristol is an expensive city, and certainly has its faults - public transport is certainly not great, for example. But I think in general, not a bad place to be.

I’m guessing that’s similar to what we have in Canada - which is essentially sign on through a banking provider? A couple provinces have their own sign on system with their services card now too - BC included.

This would be my expectation too. Though I’d think you’d need to go one further - hardware manuals AND a license to redistribute any necessary firmware binaries - the latter has been an issue with Nouveau for example. In fact I think manual

Buses can only hope to match the reliability and headway of metro services if they have dedicated right of way and signal priority for the complete route. This eliminates several of your supposed benefits.

Also looks like PCIe is exposed via an FPC connector. You could probably come up with a scheme to have an M2 device mounted behind the board - if you really wanted. Only having a single lane of PCIe 2.0 is a little unfortunate. I wonder if
