I actually really like salt, just not its documentation. Like you said - it was a breath of fresh air. :) Last time I used it a few months ago, it was while helping out another admin. He had a lot of confusion on how to do certain things, a

Building a school in a far off country without any prior experience in doing so can be good in the short term, but disastrous in the long run. These sorts of initiatives feel good and do what they're supposed to do, but just because it

That's not what I'm saying at all . Change that to: "Why can't someone with bipolar/schizophrenia be more like someone without?" and you'll find that the two things should be treated similarly, but they

That wasn't how I meant it to come off, and apologies if it came out that way. I'm not suggesting that we don't acknowledge the problem. I'm more suggesting that the problem is completely elsewhere, so locally addressing

It's gotten so bad with these sorts of tools with their incredibly annoying design flaws that I've been debating creating my own using rpm and ssh on top of bash with some python. I get why it's important to have a lot of the

Could you? Tons and tons of companies are forced into using outdated versions (for tons of reasons) where point release updates are still possible. I'm sure it's a lot of work, but a lot of your core and original users would appre

There's definitely a middle ground, though, and regulating FOIA to prevent abuse would do well in avoiding situations like /r/floridaman. It's not what the spirit of FOIA is for, so penalties (eg, requests are handled sl
