Gnome has a few plugins that adds tilling (paperwm which brings some interesting concepts, pop-shell which is quite good) but in the end I never found the experienced as polished as pure tilling ones. On Gnome i really dislike the fact that

For me it's the opposite. I find floating window manager like Windows, MacOS, Gnome, Kde really inefficient at managing screen space. Even more now that we have big screens. Tilling window managers for me brings a few things: * Almost

I don't see why it would be hard. Iterating on a architecture is harder than starting one from scratch. If the software market moves to ARM and there's bigger opportunities on the laptop/desktop side, it will attract other p

This article is quite biased. Flatpak can be seen as a framework that allows to sandbox apps, but it doesn't enforce it. Some apps can't be sandboxed totally without modifications. So the take is more Flatpak apps are not systemat

That's great to see this. Another phone that is easy to repair and provide spare parts is the fairphone. I find their journey towards building an ethical phone interesting too. I'm not sure they sell in the us though... https:&#x

Yes, it's quite important, the fact that there's no official release means that the project is stalled. It doesn't prevent to create custom builds by applying patches on top of the last release but that will only work for sma
