I don't consider win10 telemetry that bad. You can dial it down a lot until it's just sending crash data when thing go bad. Pretty much all OSes have this. What I really don't like however is Microsoft pushing garbage like

I don't think what you say really applies in this particular context. Sure you may 100% trust someones open code, but if you don't have any insight in their backend once again it comes down to who you trust the most.

Wow, that site should be used in webdev courses. It is lean, functional and not in any ways bad looking.

Are we allowed to say why we don't like what they are doing? Are we allowed to tell other people why? Then what is the problem??

Actually, I think they are a better introduction to assembly as they are simpler and easier to understand

Why is this a bad thing? If average Joe had unsigned extensions (without dev mode enabled) it was most likely installed by adware to spy on him.

As fun as this may sound, beside nostalgia, are there any real reasons to learn 6502 assembly today? If you want to learn low level programming there are better and more recent systems out there (avr, arm)

There is a name for this type of "open" development business: Throw over the fence open source. Sure, android is open source but the community is almost never involved in the development.
