What you're suggesting could get OP in trouble if caught. Not sure it's worth it, but then again I'm not that into cars.

Sounds like we need to change the law to make privacy absolute, which of course will prevent legitimate crime investigations. We can't have it both ways here.

E2E apps and fully encrypted phones prevent the police from executing legitimate search warrants. This has never been the case with traditional communication mechanisms, e.g. phones, mail. I agree that privacy is important, but it's no

Thank you for posting and reminding us that multiple 2FA methods are a good backup plan with Google. I just added: - SMS - Authenticator app (Authy, of course) - Generated backup codes That in addition to my Pixel 4, and maybe 3-4 authorize

Underwater welders make a lot. It's risky work, but you get to do pro level diving (the risky part) and welding metal at something like 3000 degrees...while under water. Might also make you explore diving more which is a ...whole other

RDS just has a button for multi-AZ primaries. No complexity or microservices.

A multi-az deployment is a checkbox in most AWS services, e.g. ASGs, RDS, load balancers, etc. Someone didn't check that box because they didn't know about it, there isn't much complexity in it.

These solutions don't answer any of the fundamental problems with Google: - who pays for the service (ads? users pay? Average user will never use a paid service if a free one is available) - how to resist attacks against the algorithm

This is a pretty big violation of privacy, especially for people who's criminal records have been expunged. It could satisfy some people's curiosity or if they are a lawyer, they could save a few grand on PACER, but for everyone e

That's not true. Court records used to be accessible in person only. You would have to be motivated to find anything. This puts everyone's past and often forgotten transgressions on display. This might look cool or even useful to

Are you certain? I thought threads are much more lightweight and also access memory faster because there is no CoW overhead (mutexes permitting). E.g. why nginx is much faster and lighter than Apache and MySQL connections are cheaper and fa

I think this is good. Any free resource is bound to be abused and overrun with spam and trolls. If you have to pay to use it, a lot of this becomes disincentivised. Free to read, pay to post, it's perfect.
