I think putting real enterprise focus on the terminal is a good thing but I'm not sure that's the right place for IAM or other security integrations. The terminal is just the GUI rendering on top of the actual tool (bash/zsh

Would you recommend RedwoodJS for green field projects? How would you say an opinionated framework like this works in the medium to late maturity? Is it easy or even possible to switch out components with more "enterprisy" solutio

ZFS and other checksumming file systems can detect bit rot in data at rest. When data is read back, that sector is checksummed and compared against when it was written before returning the request. You can periodically scrub the entire pool

It's pretty easy to create your own amis with developer versions. It makes sense why AWS doesn't necessarily provide this out of the box. But it still stands for fully managed versions of licensed software, you'll pay for the

I agree that's a pretty strong statement to make but most of the accidents didn't have anything to do with the "waste" and more with the fuel and reactors. I would argue we're not talking about a lot of people thoug

I'm with you on this one. I was an architect of a quite large SVOD streaming service and this sounds like a runaway engineering division that's lost. Sure, you can log and trace every tiny event but they've forgotten to ask

I can't tell if this should have a /s on it but terraform does have this feature (local-exec, remote-exec) and you don't need Terraform Enterprise, the free one does just fine.

I think this belief is a remnant of old versions of MySQL which traversed the entire table counting rows. This is mostly in the past though as they'll typically use the primary key index to count rows or just save the number somewhere

Seems like they benchmarked it against libpng which shows anywhere from 3-5x faster decompression and 30-50x compression. That's pretty impressive and even though libpng isn't the most performant of the png libraries, it's by

Honestly this move seemed inevitable. Renewables wouldn't fill this gap quickly enough and other sources are both dirty and require significant imports. Being dependent on energy imports can and should be interpreted as a threat to aut
