Game development, particularly of that era, made the lion's share of sales in the first year or two after release. The fact that 32-bit was going to end was never going to be a relevant consideration. This isn't IBM fulfilling a 1

Microsoft updates are also really bloated. Fortunately, Microsoft was able to solve this problem by implementing a feature so your PC uploads updates to other PCs for them. No need to improve update size, users can just share the cost of th

My understanding is that by default Windows update has drive updates on and installs all manner of manufacturer crapware through it.

I'm not active in this space really but since the Quest headsets still require a Meta account to run at all, Meta can change the rules at will here. Even if some one has figured out how to jailbreak them the majority of people won'

I remember reading Bullfrog would take the engine from their last game and build a prototype to play to see if it was any fun. Then they'd throw it away and start over.

AMD is kind of ironically hamstring by x86. They make a lot more profit off their CPUs than they do their GPUs and they only have so many TSMC wafers for both products. If they try to buy their way into more GPU market share they're lo

I'm not sure how long that would last. Services already typically block anything that isn't a mobile number for sign ups. Sometimes they even block pre-paid mobile numbers.

Mobile numbers are the obvious choice for large tech companies. They provide a pretty good user identifier for tracking and advertising purposes. And they allow outsourcing the hard parts of verifying a user to some one else. It isn't

I was going to say, if Google is silently losing and corrupting files then backing up from there is just duplicating the failure. But perhaps his backup scheme accounts for this unreliability.

I believe Tom Hanks already had some one deep fake him into endorsing some medicare scam product. I'd be more worried about that than the unsavory narration which most people probably would assume was fake.
