I assume volume is the problem. Can anyone explain what the speeds are required to freeze any particular organ safely?

While I do think these look nice (appropriate even), maintaining consistency across a large team of devs is where this type of stylization breaks down. Not everyone is using the same code editor, not everyone's configuration is the sam

I'm not sure about this project specifically, but Tauri let's you farm all of your business logic out to the Rust side with straightforward function calls and keep the web view a presentation layer.

Chromium or Tauri, you are still building platform specific binaries either way.

Eta reduction/expansion has nothing to do with performance. It's a form of point free programming that allows you to abstract out intermediate variables and use partial application instead. f x = reverse (sort x) Becomes:

Would you say the same thing if we were talking about software startups?

Maybe I'm a jaded 44yo at this point, but why would you put your maximum into it unless it's your own business or you have a guaranteed payout for that effort? Not everyone works at a startup, nor are all startups successful. Look

Complete Japanese, SOV language, tangent: It's interesting watching real time thinking as the speaker navigates the final conjugation they intend to finish the sentence with. In a way I've always seen this as two things, 1) it giv

As a grown up I can choose to enjoy a project until I stop enjoying it. Does every project actually need to be brought to its conclusion? No. Is it nice to take pride in completed projects? Yes. Do the projects I do bring me additional know

I think the point was aimed at people that want to debate about jails vs. linux namespaces. Not much of a debate if you don't understand the strengths and weaknesses of both sides. If they're invested in an existing linux containe

It's just a thing. As a US qwerty layout user I've had to use JP while living in Japan. Got into mechanical keyboards and have used a 60% HHKB, 40% Vortex Core (chords), and now a fully programmable ZSA Moonlander of which no one

I've had a similar story happen in the past. I was living in Japan looking for remote jobs and came across Couchbase. Interviewed well with the team who all seemed excited to get someone with my experience on board, however, the hiring

I wonder how cities would support themselves without rural landmass? The benefit is two way, and a $20k price tag does not capture it all all.

While it's nice to know these laws exist, what would you really do with it? The company proved it has a terrible culture. Doesn't seem worth it to fight for a job with them.

I don't disagree with this sentiment. However, my counter point would be: "What takes 30 seconds to say takes 5 hours to reverse engineer and another 10 hours to document." There's power in recording words, especially if
