And that is ridiciously expensive imo haha ;) tbf, its about 2x the EC2 instance cost, so I guess is actually kinda reasonable for a kinda managed service. But the (backup) storage is really how they get you in my experience. And do not tur

So I've tried this and cannot reproduce anything like it. Yes, when I tell Macos to scan for network, there is a short latency spike, as can be expected. But _only_ when I open up the networks menu. I have maps open, refresh my locatio

How well does this scale for larger data sets? Could I use it with 100GB of data for instance?

You can comply with the GPDR without user hostile popups. The popus are only hostile because adtech is user hostile.

You can keep your razor blades sharper by pushing them the other direction on some bald skin. Also, rinse after use and keep clean. I used to get like 30-40 shaves out of a head.

It's not going to be more reliable probably, especially if you are trying to host a app with tens of services talking to each other. Scale/load might make a difference sometimes. I'm thinking github's recent issues here.

Seems like they don't have much of their notifications in order either. I haven't heard _anything_ from Heroku on this, my colleague has been getting updates since this started... We are both admins of our companies account.

I probably already went overboard a bit when staring out. My cost where mostly in a stereo microscope and the consumables (mobius oils, cleaning liquids). Oh and maybe I didn't need a timegrapher before having a functional movement hah

That really depends on the sizes, if the face and movement are the same size I expect it should be easy enough. You will need some tools and fine motor skill, but no where near as much as you need when taking apart a movement. Looking at th

Wow very comprehensive & well done. If mechanical watches tickle your fancy, there is a ton of watch repair video on YT. I particularly enjoy wristwatch revival ( https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCD80T1s2Za4K682CQDGw

I've blocked them in the past too for this, but it seems they are better behaved now. I don't have any longer term data, but over the past week they averaged 1.5 request per minute and that is divided among ~630 unique websites. I

The theoretical limit they discuss in the paper is 100gbps over 300m, 1tbps at 100m. So that seems a lot like a log function? Soo, 10gbps with 900m & 1gbps at 2700m. Theoretically atleast :)

TL;DR: 0.2% theoretical savings. I was not suprised. It came with the exact recommendation AWS gives, to replace one instance with a reserved instance & save about 240$ anually. And that instance happens to be a temporary one we needed
