"almost entirely avoided" in this context really means "you absolutely need to buy a Mac but you may not need to use it all the time"

I was on Android back then. Flash was important since I could use certain web sites I could not use on iPhone. Today things are different since most site use html5 instead but back then iPhones were seriously crippled on the web.

Because the whole point was to use it on multiple platforms. Without iOS support it was just not worth it. A few really big indie hits were however written in flash and related languages.

Have any real security researchers have tried to analyze and break this one? Until CCC approves your CSS I will consider it insecure.

Iris scan is probably still our best bet, we just need better hardware and software. How is the iris scanner on Microsoft phones in comparison?

Came here to say the same. If you win on lottery you can expect to get offers from criminals for your ticket. This could be the same thing on a larger scale...

It has vents. It may even have active cooling by other means (e.g. Lumia 950 smartphones are water-cooled). Don't think dust will gather inside the device that easily if there is no fan to suck it in.

noteworthy large outbreak of malware Depends on how you define noteworthy and large. The xcode backdoor thing was in 500.000.000 downloads.

Are you really watching the keynote? They literally just released TPUs to developers. Last time I watched wwdc they had staged a standing ovation for a trashcan...

To be fair, apple has still not fixed their screw-you-for-leaving-ios-for-android SMS delivery bug after three years and one class action lawsuit... What is windowsphone? The best smartphone OS before it was sabotaged from inside.

I am sorry, you are missing the point. Your anecdata doesn't make a fact, neither does your perception. This is what OP was trying to get across. I switched from a white MacBook to black Asus many years ago. The former lasted 6 hours

> It historically enabled features (sealed batteries) that Windows didn't, that provided better performance. You are saying this as it was an undisputed fact. Which is the exact issue OP pointed at.

I'm very satisfied could mean "I have the latest apple product and they look good on me". Source: met a guy at airport who tried to convince me buy a pair. I explained they were not loud enough for the noisy plane environment
