The article states going from 2 days a week to 3, yet most of the comments here are acting as if it’s going from 0 to 3. I don’t think this will make a substantial difference.

It seems we’ve moved into the “acceptance” phase and phrases like “healthy at any weight” and different “body types” have become the norm. We just have no idea what to do.

This is an annoying take that comes up every time. It’s like saying people die because a critical organ stops functioning. It adds nothing to the discourse and tends to imply that it’s lack of will power.

I have 3 large skylights which cause the rooms they are in to get very warm in the evening when it’s sunny. I used the Gila window film that is designed to block heat and UV but allow light through. Though somewhat expensive at around $50&#

You’re missing very large categories like G&A, R&D etc but just look at their most recent SEC 10K or 10Q filings and you can see where the money goes.

You absolutely can sue under the FCRA for violations, but there’s a few major problems. First, even if you find a lawyer to take it on contingency, there are quite a few hard costs that are still out of pocket. Postage, document prep fees,

That is the license by the creators but does not mean other companies/individuals won’t claim that it infringes on their patents. So if you adopt it, you’re still likely to be accused of infringing their patents.

This isn’t quite right. While AV1 is “open”, patent holders have still claimed patents covering aspects of it. So there are still issues with trying to use/distribute it as those patent holders can still claim infringement. Linux is an

What’s so particularly frustrating is that despite record unchecked obesity, we are encouraging children to eat more than ever. In infancy, we always have bottle or breast ready where they cry. In toddlerhood, most activities and all presch

The skeptic in me thinks that long lived, upgradable, serviceable, resellable laptops would never have survived long anyways. It’s far more profitable to sell new machines to people and businesses after 3 years. Those long lived tank laptop

This is what is so frustrating about companies harming many people by small amounts. There is no actual recourse for the individuals. If an individual missed a credit card payment by mistake, the bank would assuredly charge them a late fee,

I think this article misses the fact that Google polices spam/seo hacks via software automation whereas Reddit (in theory) polices it via crowdsourcing and moderators. These volunteers are super vigilant as they seem to treat the subre

I don’t think op meant it literally, but the fact that the results are so keyword stuffed that despite “appearing” on the page they are actually irrelevant to the page and thus useless.

I have an alternate way of figuring out whether or not products are of good quality and long lasting—-buying used. You can generally tell what is high quality and long lasting because older products that still work are both listed there and

Proving actual damages. Unless the law stipulates punitive damages, it’s too hard to prove how you were “damaged” by it not being avocado oil and the dollar amount. This is why many lawsuits aren’t filed even when companies have harmed peo

I had this opinion too, but if you think about something like trading cards or any other “limited” collectibles that were mass produced, rather than one of a kind art, it’s sort of the same thing with regards to artificial scarcity.

I don’t know what the optimal diet is, but the status quo ain’t it. Obesity and diabetes are growing uncontrollably. Would love to see a modern well done study that provides all food (cost/compliance is the main issue with most studies

I think a similar situation happened with UBeam. Electrical engineers insisted it would be impossible to charge a phone the way they were claiming. But the “what if” dream made it so nobody wanted to listen to them.

That is odd to me too. Wouldn't many high-rise apartment buildings in a downtown corridor have more mixed-use/retail/office options as well as a thriving downtown area to walk to?

The annoying thing is that the store again has all the power here. If you get overcharged for something that was supposed to be on sale, scans as the wrong item, or the price label is different than the scan, it is on YOU to notice, then wa

If you followed around the people responsible and posted everything they did, everywhere they went, and posted pictures of them it is called “stalking”. If you do it for everyone it would be called a “unicorn”.
