Sounds awesome - will have to check it out. Totally random aside: does it talk about the evolution of debtor's prisons after slavery was no longer an option? I always wondered why people thought it made sense to lock someone up with no

This is an interesting concept and a really old one to boot. Planet Money recently did a great podcast covering a similar measure (although it was specifically for mortgages) in Iceland: http://www.npr.org/blogs/money&#

Good point. Plus Heroku just gives you so many more options instead of the 3-4 that ElasticBeanstalk provides, although Docker integration potentially changes the calculus significantly. Interesting that its taking EB so long to catch up to

Interesting. Between Elastic Beanstalk, OpsWorks, and now CodeDeploy it seems like AWS is taking over every production developer workflow from the hobbyist on up.

Interesting idea. Some feedback: As a subscriber to a number of paid sources (including some that you mentioned), I'm not sure I would use something like this. It would really depend on how much of a discount and lock-in there is. I fi

It depends where in the Bay Area you are - there a lot more things in SF proper than South Bay, for example. That said, some of the best things, like Google Shopping Express, cover a ton of ground.

If you have access to a recumbent bike or elliptical, doing HIIT can be quite effective. It's done wonders for me. I actually started getting in shape with the basic cardio routine from Power 90. It's really easy to do anywhere an

Yeah, I think this is at the base of US-centric folks' surprise at the WhatsApp deal. The difficulties in messaging simply aren't apparent when you get it free on almost every plan. Additionally, there is the extremely useful case
