I think the steelman for this would be something like: people hear factually incorrect assertions with enough frequency from enough different sources and become convinced that these assertions are true. This is basically of the idea of sock

Whether people are more easily fooled by dell.shop dell.computershop.com is a non sequitur from the rather wordy disquisition about why people fall for the scams in general. The eye sees dell first in clear letters for both urls. Their sick

Which party is that? The one that constantly tries to cut the funding or the one that constantly tries to reward and excuse failure? The republicans in congress threatening to cut programs they don’t like is probably not helping things. But

This is great advice. I deleted everything that has an infinite scroll of new stuff and set my phone on airplane mode where possible. Life is better. I frequently go about with no phone and I have better focus. Paradoxically I now enjoy my

What’s the down side for them? People are paying less than $500 a month in rent for a 2 bedroom. Gives their whole economy a competitive edge.

Thanks for responding. Pining in space requires some tricky 3D math so I get that it is a pain. The multi view thing is also kind of cool since it shows how space distorts. I think I really just wanted to share the warped image so a capture

This cool. I grew up about a mile from one of these plants and it is wild to see the old photos. A story from my grandfather (probably not true) is that the week after Pearl Harbor Jack Warner had someone paint on the roof of the Warner Bro

What you are describing sounds an awful lot like Snapchat. I would honestly just download Snap and tour their App since they have already come up with solutions to all of these problems. They aren’t always great solutions, and snap is still

An apartment in a major us city costs >4x per more per square foot than the adjacent suburban sprawl. Clearly a lot of people realize the value and are willing to take the financial hit to have it.

Physicists have learned quite a bit about the fundamental structure of the cosmos in the last 500 years. We can get into philosophical quibbles over what is knowledge and the relationship between approximations to reality, but we have clear

Physics is pretty old and it has always been about understanding the fundamental structure of reality. If it doesn’t tell you how it all goes round then it is not physics: plain and simple.
