Low interest rates are good (you could argue) but negative interest rates make it harder to GET dollars to pay back your loans because the value of each dollar is more. Imagine if you borrow 200k for a house and when you sell it you can now

I've worked with dozens of companies of various sizes over my career, and I've always found that this type of attitude starts at the top of the company. If managers are kind, curious, and tolerant of risks that might reap rewards,

I just want to use whatever tools we will be using in 5 years. While the underlying technologies of css, html, and javascript have gotten cleaner, powerful, and more cross-compatible, everything that sits on top seems to have gotten bloated

I agree with the point taniq makes in that those easier systems did in fact require a lot of hand crafting, even if parts were automated. I find it interesting the points at which the usefulness of these approaches plateaus. I am interested

Yep. I have to agree with this comment. My first thought was about some advice I would give someone considering this (having been pushed into this situation by a large healthcare client years back). But once I found it was a sales piece, th

Interesting. I have an AI agent that can solve these types of problems. What kinds of other unsolved problems are out there? I'm always looking for something interesting.

One of the examples given is a block puzzle (reorder 8 pieces in a 3x3 grid back into order) Has this been a problem for AI and CNN's?

I think this is a result of the frustration Gross has with central banks printing money. He is mad that it makes it difficult to make money in bonds, but no one under 50 cares about this. A side-effect is that it makes stock prices go up re

Thank you for this clarification. I was wondering how holding these options would screw the average employee, since I didn't think the value was taxable, but the impact on the AMT is the piece I was missing. I've got to think that

In theory, having a chunk in the Roth is a better deal. You pay taxes on that money now, but down the road, you don't have to pay when you withdraw. Assuming it has grown multiple times, you pay much less in taxes by doing it now. And,

If you are self-employed and incorporated, and are really crushing it, you can open both a 401k and a Roth 401k to maximize the amount you can stuff away.

Screw the statistics. If you feel compelled to start up a company, I say do it. Put yourself 100% in. You might be 100% successful, or, you might be 100% a failure. But do not think the statistics make you one or the other. Only advice I wo
