You say "This hurts potentially legitimate users", someone else can say "this is stealing from registrars". There is no single answer to this. Actually this is the definition of trade ( mostly stock markets work in this

Ethics are complicated. System has to be ethical first, then individual actors. You cannot have an unethical system then expect actors to be ethical.

Only solution is a commodity identity and data provider. But it would never happen. Moderation, cost, legal issues are impossible to handle.

Without interoperability and universal identity, social graph doesn’t help. Universal identity, you can maybe solve with email. But there are problems like requiring using real name, multiple accounts etc Interoperability between messengers

You can also truncate hash at 30 bits and use it to address bucket, 12gb then would give you like 3x32 bits, which you can store your candidates. Then compare full hash with candidates.

I don’t see if one neighborhood is full of parking attendants and rich one is less proving discrimination. This is an optimization problem, you have limited capability of enforcement, and you need to use it with most efficient way.

I am looking at with a different perspective: I am thinking Apple is like a union for their users. And they are regulating developers and they have huge negotiating power because they are gateway to user’s phone. I don’t see them as market

I think you have totally wrong expectation about developers. - Ask any reasonable dev if they are willing to foot a fixed cost to get their app screened I don’t think most devs will support this, considering the constant arguments about IOS

This looks like an obvious bug if it is straight line. Yeah google can show longer but faster route depending on traffic etc. Also one more thing can be, gps location point and address can point to different locations. Not sure how Uber is

My understanding of “No True Scotsman” is: - You have a set - You are making a claim that covering ALL elements of that set - But you excluding some elements, and claiming that they are actually not really element of that set Example: For e
