Crazy. I remember last year when the guy died from this thing. I live in the same area as The Fantasy Lake park where he got it, so it was pretty memorable. I wonder if this means that we are starting to see this virus more often. If we are

I always wondered how we squared disallowing things like WeChat and TikTok with freedom of speech. This whole thing feels a bit hyperbolic. Is there real danger lurking around the corner if we allow people to shit post on TikTok, for instan

One of the things that I have discovered is that treating people in this way can be a bit of a double edged sword though. When I was working at my last company I was on a team of three, and I wound up being the guy that dealt with all of th

I see your point, but I dealt with users far more often than just whenever they needed tech support. Interactions with users were more common in my position than just when they needed help. I provisioned all the computers for the company I

Yes, users are fucking dumb. I use to work help desk for a number of years, and the stories I could tell... Though, I sorta object to treating them all like their stupid. There are stupid users, and then there are users that are stupid beca

ITT a lot of people who don't have kids talking about the "benefits" of having children. It's pretty clear anyone who talks about "benefits of being of parent" don't have kids.

Oh neat. I found a problem with a script I wrote today because of this. I wrote a script recently that takes several screenshots from the same folder, merges them using Image Magick and outputs the merged image into a PDF. Found out through

It's interesting until you see the 10th comment comparing some old software against Electron. Then it comes meme-y.

n-o-d-e seems to have the best designed project out of all of these. Like it looks like something I would actually want to buy. Though it does depend on the price. All of these hand-held devices look really attractive until you see the pric

Just feels like a cheap way to get Internet karma to compare old apps to modern apps made with Electron.

It was a calculated risk. And I was, and still am, very poor. 3,000 is basically an entire months pay for me at this point. Back then it was two months pay. I don't work as a programmer, yet (knock on wood). So paying 3k is basically o

In the Prius III (the only one I personally worked on) there is a safety plug which cuts the voltage. It's actually pretty simple once you start to understand how the system works.

Let me tell you a story. I bought a Prius once because I thought I was clever and I was going to get a great car with great gas mileage. I read on the Internet that despite what everyone says about the battery that it is actually very rare
