Ideally cars would be equipped with speed limiters. Then the problem disappears. Until this happens, there are many other solutions like you only start paying fines until you do over some limit (like 12 per year) of such minor infractions.

Hopefully this catches up. It's scary how normalized traffic violence and risking other's life is in our society. If there is one place where AI based automatic enforcement could instantly make life better it's traffic laws e

The paper you linked is based on reasoning like: "high school dropouts are way more likely to be unemployed therefore if we reduce rates of people dropping out of high school there will be more employed ones". That's also a p

Not very surprising. There are incentives to publish, especially surprising stuff (so you can call it ground breaking) and no incentives to be right in a sense that your results align with reality. Imagine spending time to prepare a paper t

It's a pretty big difference! Often 20+% on the benchmarks. I have the previous gen CPU in my ThinkPad and it's the quietest, most pleasant laptop I have ever had. All Intel ones I dealt with are like old fridge in comparison (lou

It's not like sailors spend a lot of time in green spaces though. On serious note: exposure to extreme wind and sun day after day can't be good for your skin.

The opposition to this decision worry me. Do you really want to live in a world where you're forced to create stuff even if you don't want to? Like literally spend a month of your life painting something you don't want to pai

I was about to write a similar post. I think the only way it can work is a distributor paying a fixed price for every user that views the content. This way both big and small players can have access to it and you can even imagine some prici

Idk why you're being downvoted. It's well documented and obvious fact that SUVs and tracks are lethal to pedestrians and cyclists because of their hostile low visibility design. By choosing to drive those in populated areas you&#x

That's we need regulation. We are slowly approaching "let's drive a tank" territory. SUVs make the world dangerous and scary for people outside of cars: pedestrians, cyclists, other small personal vehicles users. It'
