I think it's great. My feed is people posting tech/AI news, scientific publications, videos of rockets and self-driving cars, things made with coding agents etc. It's full of people who do meaningful work as well and you can

It's fashionable to hate on Elon but he is right in principle - the game is in fact way smaller than often portrayed. Explanation why: https://x.com/TCzajka/status/2095927509389136163?s=20 Realistically we wo

Very impressive! I was a child when that proof came out. I've read a book about it a few years later and used it on my final high school exam. I remember some friends trying to understand parts of it at univ. It was all like black magi

Yeah, it makes sense to advocate for that if you are a sophisticated trader who hope to fleece the naive retail. For 99%+ of people though near instant price discovery and efficient price is a big net benefit. Imagine news broke that makes

Inefficient market means someone is getting a bad price. That someone is going to be a retail/naive investor - Bill and Nancy who want to invest in Apple with part of their salary. Sophisticated investors would never be on the other si

KataGo isn't very good at exploiting weaker opponents. In chess people were convinced a grandmaster can never be beaten with a knight odds. It's just too easy to simplify the position and win. It was very easy (for a grandmaster)

It's a lazy argument imo. As corrupt as they might be there is way more money to make in the stock market or bond market if you have insider info. There is little reason for them to go after peanuts in the prediction markets.

You want short term trading because you want the prices to be as close to efficient as possible. You may never trade short term but at some point you are going to buy and at some point you are going to sell. Market being far from efficient

It's my favorite chat box for general use. I used to cross post my questions to Opus/Fable and GPT Sol via Open Router but these days I just use Grok. I prefer its style, it's very good at searching and referencing sources. D

It's interesting that ChatGPT is down as well. SpaceX rents to Anthropic but not to OpenAI. Just a coincidence or something more to it?

This is also really smart business wise imo. For hobby projects, toys, quick scripts you don't really mind if they train on it. It's a win-win. Once you get used to the tools and you want to do more serious business you are more l

Mac is actually cheaper I think. I am looking for laptops with 64GB of RAM. X1 Carbon with not even top Intel CPU costs the same as Macbook pro with 18 core M5 PRO and 64GB of RAM. Mac has much better GPU (not even close), much faster CPU (

I am in the same boat. I would buy a Mac if I could run Linux on it. As it is I will pay more for X1 Carbon with a worse CPU just to run free OS on it.
