This is a pretty naive argument. People use AI to trivialize mundane tasks and make the more accessible. > If you're having AI write your email, it probably wasn't that important. There's plenty of situations where extra p

It could be a chat preview generator. Users DM links to some internal project pages in an chat tool and the tool fetches the page in the background in an attempt to render a preview.

I don't play games or do anything too resource-demanding on my phone normally. Pro models typically have more memory than non-pro models and running LLMs on device might be the only scenario where it can realistically make a difference

Why can't we just acknowledge that "extreme gaming" in a rather absurd term to describe the APU in question? The fact that the performance doesn't suck as much as it used to doesn't make it less absurd. Extreme gami

I feel like nonce-tracking on the server side makes it a non-viable solution for a lot if not most of applications. A nonce needs to be stored/validated on every request, even a GET one. Seems like a recipe for DDoS.

I park this way cause I'm daily driving a sports car that is really low and I don't want to risk hitting my front splitter on the curb or the wall. Backwards camera allows you to get close enough without hitting anything.

Maybe not the best choice of words on my part, but I used it as a prejudice that it widely accepted and propagated as morally non-dubious by mainstream culture.

I find the idea itself stupid and distasteful. I've never understood the blind unsubstantiated hate for the rich. Surely, a lot of them has done things many could find objectionable, but this seems more like institutionalized prejudice

> Nothing will change for you if you don't want it to change. That's not true. There's always cost, even for a feature that you personally never use. Sideloading opens tons of new security attack vectors and dark patterns,

Every feature, even the one you don't use, comes with a price. There's no such thing as free feature in software. Adding sideloading reduces security of a device even if you personally never touch it. There'll be more attack

This is a totally unrealistic scenario. Victims of scam trust the person on the phone much more than their own ability to figure out what's going on. Scammers successfully convince people to manually disable every protection and dismis

But you can literally walk into a branch of your bank with a debit card and withdraw that amount in like 5 minutes. The only reason to carry this much cash across multiple state lines I can imagine is him not wanting to leave a paper trail

There's ample evidence that Bouldin was actually driving to Colorado to purchase marijuana products, hence cash. Still though, Colorado has ATMs. Maybe he didn't want to leave paper trail by withdrawing large amounts on cash outsi

Clearly, the goal here is not to solve homelessness but to reduce exposure to homelessness. You don't have to hate homeless people to not want to be around them.

This kinda is how freedom works though. You're free to use whatever client you want, and Meta is free to implement API in a way that will not allow your client to call it.
