MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2016) with Touch Bar. So far I love the machine - USB-C is the future of computing. I'm sill not used to the feel of the touchbar when hitting ESC, but I mostly use it as a desktop with another keyboard anyway.

If they are all developing with Xcode I bet they also have a server farm for distributed builds. That said, why would OSX devs need more that 16GB of RAM? It's not like they are going to be running virtual machines/docker images.

If you haven't encountered the concept before, I recommend looking at the testing pyramid[1]. Basically the idea is that UI/Functional tests take a long time to run so you want just enough to test the main, important flow in the a

_Programming_ is more pleasant when you break your codebase into isolated components. Instead of trying to force git to adapt to these monolithic repositories, we should be breaking them down into manageable pieces for developers to work on

GA can be extremely dangerous for some people. I know someone who has had several knee surgeries without GA because they don't handle GA well enough to make it worth the risks (death, for example). There are very good reasons why a lot

Why even bother paying for S3? Just use a static site generator and put it on github pages, github is already paying for the heroku vms so I bet they'd be happy to pay less to use their own infrastructure even if the git-scm.com/o

From what I can tell, Tesla has been focused on making their batteries _cheaper_ at the moment so they get the best deal possible on their batteries. They aren't really trying to make "better" batteries because they need to s
