If true, and if the internet is correct about company size being between 51 and 200, then that means each employee only generates between ~$78K and ~$20K. Anyone know if that is low or not? Seems low to me (compared with software engineer salaries), but I suppose that depends on what kinds of employees they have and how much they pay.
- trjordan 10y agoLow, even for a startup. Those numbers almost imply pre-revenue. Revenue machines generate $1mil / employee: companies like Google, Facebook, Microsoft, etc. Startups in growth mode can plausibly run around $100k with the excuse that they're spending cash ahead of revenue. Efficient startups with great revenue growth can do $200k-$400k. If you're much below $100k, you should have something you're planning to monetize later. It seems that Trello is focused on getting users now and turning on an aggressive pricing model later.

- blktiger 10y agoThat's for Alassian, not Trello.
