It does take time due to the security risks to be managed. But its not that much time and can be mostly automated. If the OP is new to server management then it might be a bit uphill.

Good points. I would add that 99.99% of marketing books/sites/blogs/magazines aim to keep you as a reader. Which means that they will simply keep feeding you stories about marketing without telling you the real basics. You ma

This is a fantastic thing to do. I do have one question. Do you plan to do the same thing (maybe in a smaller scale) in the US? Say, help people in some impoverished area of the country with some small funding to help them get micro busines

The one thing that made me take my current job is the personal touch I was given. The person who contacted me was simply just being human, and not seeing me as just another number. That makes a difference.

I was about to write the same thing. Thank you for taking the time to do this. It is exactly what I needed to build APIs at Mokriya.

One very important thing not mentioned is what technology the OP freelances in. Mobile is hot and will have you working immediately ( email me for iOS work ), and PHP will take some weeks before you get a good contract that is not tweaking

I remember the first time I met a webmaster IRL. It blew me away. The guy was a total badass (in my head, at least). My brother would talk to the webmaster about something called Perl. I did an Altavista search and started to write Perl on

I don't get what's the issue. People use github to host things other than code and no one doesn't seem to complain. Why not let them use it to track issues and whatever else? Github != open source. It is an important hub of t

Best way to improve the world is to improve yourself. You touch many lives everyday. One positive change in you will cascade into society. It sounds all feel-good-BS, but I've lived this myself. It works.

I think it makes more more sense as a C64 game than anything else. It just fits the era and machine so well. Made me think back to the good old days where I would spend all day playing games on my C64.

I just wished that Canonical would sell an Ubuntu laptop. Not a namebrand laptop with Ubuntu installed in it, but a machine made for them exclusively. Then they can integrate the OS to perfectly work with the machine. I'd buy that in a

Given how big online poker is I don't think 25K is a lot of money. There are so many ways to monetize this site that it hurts. I would finish the multiplayer feature and then promote it well. It will make more than 25K easily.
