Interesting perspective. I am curious about why the country you are going to pays more than the one you are coming from in software. Would it be too bold for me to say it has some cultural reasons? Perhaps the openness to innovation? or may

I completely agree, countries should not trap people. But why is it "making it" in some countries to leave and go to America? Why not build up your own country and affect their living standards in a positive way? Personally I have

Hot stuff champ, pulling the old white nationalist insult sure shut down the conversation didn't it. I guess you will sit in your camp and I will sit in mine; no reason to have a civil discussion about the complex topic of immigration.

That is a good point, however most of the immigrants in the 1920s were from europe. Now that is not the case, they are mostly from asia and southeast asia. There is an argument that there is enough of a cultural difference for it to affect

To play devils advocate, at this point in time with the highest rate of immigration in the history of the country (i think 13%) "conservatives" are looking out for the american citizens that are losing out to these high skilled (a

Someone needs to codify this shit for when he leaves. Its surprising that he still needs to scream at people after two decades of kernel work. I don't have a lot of faith that whoever comes after him will be as proud of the kernel as h

Interesting that there is nothing here related to the campaign - just some money laundering with Ukraine. Some would argue its outside the relevance of what the special prosecutor was hired for (Russian interference in the election). Im gue

I think most people discount the effect that connected cars will have on safety even when you have mixed levels of human operated and level 1-5 AVs. If a car operated by a human has even a basic connected control system in it then a AV can

There is a lot of comments in here confused with chromeOS and all the justification for an expensive machine that doesnt really run that much software. I agree with most of the sentiment and I think they should just keep the nice UI but swi

I agree, I love that they don't even mention what the GPU is, It is now assumed that you don't really ever need any dedicated graphics. All this despite integrated graphics still sucking with all of its dedicated memory and such.

The MBP has 4 thunderbolt USB-C ports and nothing else, everything I own does not support USB-C (including my iphone). I like the idea of a single cable for everything but I cant afford to replace my monitors, keyboard, mouse, speakers etc.

This is the attitude that I find incessantly arrogant. And it is probably the same attitude that Tim Cook and the apple leadership have. Just because you cannot imagine what people might need to use a computer for does not give you the righ

The pricing has changed slightly since last year. Last year’s entry model iPhone 7 cost $649. This year’s 64 GB iPhone 8 costs $699. Apple, of course, has no explanation for this. Since the price of new iphones is obviously rising faster

I love my MBP, I think its the best yet. But the touch bar is pretty pointless, I would rather have just paid less money or gotten better hardware. Maybe if I use an app that uses it effectively my opinion will change.
