Luckily, bias of the researcher is irrelevant, as this is science and the facts are published. Despite 7 decades of endavours, no evidence whatsoever confirming Smiths claims has been found.

I'm agreeing with everything you wrote (with the minor differentiation that this is mostly rooted in particular protestant branches, not Christianity per se), but in my understanding the opposition to UBI is not primarily about dignity

Yes, absolutely. In many/most real world cases, different types of learning overlap (these themselves are only mental models, after all). In this case, the cognitive aspect would be the what and why, helping you to get why this exists,

Let's use the concept "3D printer". Imagine time travelling 50 years into the past and wanting to get people to learn what that thing is. You would essentially show a single time how the plastic goes in, gets heated, and flow

But there is a qualitative difference! Storing excess capital into money is "saving". Using this saved capital to buy a car for private use, or videogames, is consumption. Using the money to produce more capital, like buying a mac

Due to the obvious interest of Mormons, this isn't exactly an underresearched field. This single quote is obviously just that, a single quote of a single researcher, but to my knowledge it sums up the state of research pretty well.

I'm not trying to be pedantic, but saving and investments are two distinct activities with distinct economical outcomes. Fruitfully discussing economics on the internet is hard enough as is, deviating from standard meanings of core ter

Mobile devices are ignored because they are regulated to only emit at most 0.2W. Compare that to visible light, which is the same thing, EM radiation, but because of the way higher frequency has 100.000 times higher energy density per Watt

Yes, but all these countries, as said, are significantly poorer than Sweden per capita (e.g. Spain has about 50% of GDP per capita than Sweden). OTOH, Sweden has pretty similar politics and cultural values compared to Denmark and Norway, wh

One easy change with major effects (that is law in almost all OECD countries IIRC) would be to have votes only on sundays or official holidays. Having to vote on a work day disproportionally disadvantages workers.
