Yes, this is how you have your cake and eat it. It works in reverse too, when you’re the one being reviewed and you receive feedback you disagree with. Instead of dying on the hill and delaying your merge, just implement the feedback and t

I’m shocked by some of the replies to this comment. Are people seriously advocating for regulations against… stuff that tastes good? No, thank you. Please don’t tell me what tasty things I’m allowed to create or consume. Regulation of this

Maybe this is naive, but the way I see it is: more architectures = more room for innovation. Ultimately RISC-V will allow for more competition in the CPU space, driving down prices for consumers.

Computer graphics is such a fun area to work in. This rope is a perfect example of how having strong high school level math skills and a good idea can turn you into a kind of wizard. It’s a really special feeling when you bring to life a dy

This is why I got a Fuji XT-30. It’s got a physical control for everything. I don’t have to use the menu unless I’m doing something unusual. Sadly, it doesn’t seem like there are many cameras designed this way anymore.

How would this work in practice? Could renters afford to buy the homes they live in when their landlords are no longer legally allowed to own them?

Is this for real? How is this not the biggest story in the world right now? This is absolutely incredible. I wish I had something intelligent to say. Just wow. It’s literally mind reading. Imagine plugging this tech into Neuralink. The brai

If I tried to sell my story, I wouldn’t even be able to buy a tent with the proceeds. Maybe 250k isn’t such a bad deal for the rights to his story.

One underrated benefit of wielding a standalone camera is the mindset it puts you in. When I use my phone, I find myself not putting as much thought into the shot. For whatever reason, holding a nice camera puts me into a creative state of

Every TypeScript project I have worked on either: 1) enforces no extension, e.g. “utils/foo”, or 2) allows TS extensions, e.g. “utils/foo.ts” I have never imported a TS file using a JS extension. Maybe your woes could be fixed w

Those years of training are surely helpful, but are they strictly necessary? I don’t see why AGI couldn’t infer much of the experiences by reading text.

I’ve been starting to wonder, is GPT-3 the beginning of AGI? I know, I know, it’s just a language model. But I’ve been thinking. About my thinking. I think in words. I solve problems in words. I communicate results in words. If I had no bod

Another reason I dislike the superhero genre these days is because the plot arcs are so predictable. It seems like every movie follows exactly the same beats. At this point they feel more like remixes than fresh content.
