My sense is at some point Instagram is going to suppress engagement unless you pay them, they may be testing out how that will play out.

One interesting data point (though I really don't care where this all leads): 18 of the 79 named engineers worked for Apple. https://www.docdroid.net/uf3z/typec.pdf My sense is the spec was designed by a consortiu

Just adding context in case people thought the populations were roughly equivalent. It has bearing in the validity of choosing something the majority of people would understand.

They double and triple dip customers pretty hard today, I'd imagine margin lost on basic services like EC2 would shift to AWS specific services they can layer more costs on top of (i.e. RDS)

This is neat, and it's important to iterate on things we take for granted like what terminal emulator we use. But a larger question, at what point do we focus on the novelty of the project, not that it was written in a specific languag

there are a couple other things to throw into the mix, housing doesnt just appear if we will it, you have to make it cheaper to build in the first place, and have some type of land value tax to encourage density. density is the answer thoug

Can always go the `gofmt` route and provide something in the language tooling and take this choice somewhat out of the developer's hands. > gofmt's choices are no one's favorite, but gofmt is everyone's favorite.

Have you ever used Kubernetes? The abstraction it focuses on is running container images; building them and getting them to a registry is a whole separate abstraction.
