One could easily make "charge only" USB cables with the data pins disconnected. Or a passthrough dongle which does that.

You're mostly right, but it's legal to separate the mains voltage and low voltage connections like this: http://www.smarthome.com/2546/Low-Voltage-Divider-Plate-SCDI...

A mid-range home EV charger (like the GE WattStation), is spec'ed for 30A at 240V, which is 7.2kW, not 20kW. You might be confused because a typical battery in an EV is around 20+kW h , which is why it takes a few hours for the wall charger

They're talking about a manager who spends so much time dealing with the people above them on the org chart (CEO, Board, etc) that they lose sight of the realities of what's really going on in in the engineering "trenches".

Really the #1 reason that Git beats Subversion right now, is that Git is what people use . If your development involves any community open source stuff, you will need to be comfortable with git and with github. Just use git because it's w

Make something up. It's not like they're going to call your boss and say "Hey we're trying to steal this employee away from you, how much money are you paying him?" Some exceptions to this: 1. You work a government job where your salary i

You don't really negotiate with a recruiter, in that sense. When they are asking you your salary information, it's not negotiation, it's fishing for information -- they want to know whether continuing the conversation is a waste of time or

Like many others in the comments, I disagree with the whole "Don't be the first to state a number" strategy. Being weaselly about your number is a very noob thing to do in a negotiation. A skilled negotiator will seize on this and anchor t
