Yes, but one of them means that you're thinking about the problem backwards.

You have a lot of time to decide, so why not apply to both jobs and graduate programs. If you can't get a job upon graduation, then go to grad school. But know that graduate degrees (in computer-related fields) offer a poor ROI. You should

In that case, I think 3% is low.. 12-15 hours a day including weekends are founders' hours. Unfortunately, I think you've lost most of your leverage. The time to negotiate was before you did all the work.

Well, the community isn't "poor" -- it's just not for me. I don't participate nearly as much as I used to. It's not like the only choices are "stay" and "leave".

Personally, I think Hacker News has a great design and a poor community. I guess these things are just a matter of taste.

I dunno about that. I think it's probably easier to learn to ride a bike with someone experienced helping you. If someone sets up the seat for you and explains how to shift and brake and rides with you a little bit, I'm sure learning would

The author is exactly right. There's no way that a tree array of panels that are half not even pointing at the sun will outperform a linear array of panels that are mostly pointing at the sun. Panels efficiency is measured in Watts, and t

I'm talking about something different. There are many people for whom a lifetime of hard work will not result in a 5 minute mile, and there are many people for whom a lifetime of hard work will not result in being a great programmer. I kno

Most people will never run a 5 minute mile either (the author's analogy, not mine). I was all ready to comment about how it wasn't a very fair comparison, but then I thought about it more and realized that I actually do agree with the analo

Really nice design. I like the simplicity. I hope the Android app is coming soon - that's kind of a must-have feature for me. Currently using Astrid, but that feels a bit bloated.
