This is pretty neat! I hate having to open everything if I change projects or tasks.

Really neat tech. It would take a lot of trust to use it though. I don't see too many home or office applications, but it could be pretty useful in medical or industrial settings.

I was just talking to my SO about the cement ship the other day. Not really so much about the ship itself, but the fact the pier is suffering the same fate as the ship. It was once a rather big fishing spot when I was growing up, but not it

That's true. An independent investigation is really the only way to know for sure.

I often wonder how factual articles like this are. Under modern labor laws it would be difficult to create the kind of situations described. Especially in California. Unions have been trying infiltrate Tesla for awhile now. They have the mo

The title is very clickbaity and should be changed. Not the OPs fault.

A strong ramp-up takes time to plan and implement. Especially in a large organization such as the TSA or U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

More and more it seems like we are slipping towards a dystopia. Inch by inch our privacy rights are slowly being striped away. Not just by governments but by corporations, and once they are gone it is next to impossible to get them back.

That is truly amazing, and it really isn't a medical device. A simple solution that will make the lives of many much better.

What a world we live in. Being able to design proteins online and have them synthesized. Well done!

Its interesting how ELIZA seems to ask mostly question while PARRY tends to make statements. I wonder what would happen if you placed either bot up against a modern chatbot.

I wonder what the impact on number of flights will be. It is starting to become less and less appealing to fly to the US.

That is pretty amazing. Programmers where able to create games for hardware that never had any games created for it.

It seems to me that we are at a critical tipping point in becoming a dystopian society. If we are not careful we are going to fall right off the edge. Crazy times we live in.

I could see this having the opposite effect. Allowing more people to abuse handicapped spots.

We know how to live on another planet like Mars. The issue is getting there, and getting there at scale.

I wouldn't trust a device such as the Echo Dot to be reliable enough (or any IoT device for that matter). It was never build for that purpose.

You haven't heard the allegations that Uber approached Levandowski while still at Google to start Otto so Uber could buy them later?

Uber is also getting their pants sued off by Google for selling self driving car trade secrets. A suit that Uber is more than likely going to lose.

I find it fascinating that media companies like news papers have completely tied their success to a 3rd party platform like Facebook. They have essentially given all of the publishing power to Facebook. AMP is another one that comes to mind

So it is basically a fancy solar still. It's neat, but the title makes it sound like it is some amazing technological breakthrough, when it is really just a high tech improvement on a technology that has been around since the stone age

It's scary how much power we give IOT devices. It would be trivial for a utility company to alter or change readings in their favor.

That's a real the danger of IoT devices. What happens if the company goes out of business, Or the company decides to terminate support? Cloud services should be additives not necessities.
