I dunno. I'm French and perfectly aware that my language is difficult to master. I wouldn't say it's dumb but it's just because I'm stupidly proud of my country.

If it wasn't it wouldn't be Qualcomm. Come on, do you know one current Snapdragon phone with a totally upstreamed kernel ? Or even a not-so-recent phone (say less than 5 years old) ? Or even an ancient phone ? Nope. So how do you

I don't understand this US mentality that some more tech will save us. It's some some of blind headlong rush to our demise, just to ignore the fundamental problems: - too many humans - too much pollution - too much energy consumpt

You need to spinoff the other human being. That means it's your child. A bit insensitive IMHO. Not much more seriously how about selling your debts to a company you just create for the occasion ? Sounds much more "the Texan way&qu

One of the veery nice properties of the PC world is that CPUs are rather well documented, you can write drivers, a full OS, really low-level code for performance. Qualcom on the contrary has a secrecy culture which makes its SoC quite una

I'm not sure this "freedom of speech" absolutism is such a good idea. A society needs to put limits on behavior of its individuals to be sane. I support that people can express whatever opinion they have, but not in any way t

Yes especially in rural areas, where houses are sparsely spaced. If 15 and 17 are 3km apart, you can have several hundreds houses appearing between these numbers, and no amount of "bis" and "ter" will save you.

Moving your player means only changer its relative order to a few blocks, so even a bubble sort will do at most a few swaps (typically 0 or 1 swap per frame unless it moves many blocks per frame) so yes, it should be inexpensive. And you do

I bought a Brother HL 2130 in 2011. It's a cheap monochrome laser printer-only. I works well under Linux, Windows, MacOS. Toner cartridges last forever, drum lasts even more forever, I never had any problem with it, and it still work

IMO the constant sortings are nearly useless. It just needs to have 4 list of sorted blocks, one for each 90° angle. Then it just re-sorts them all when an object moves (which would be very cheap), or if few objects move it can just paint t

FWIW when we say "a light at 6000 K" it means "a light with the same color as a black body heated to 6000 Kelvin", so it has nothing to do with temperature, it's only a (veery rough) way of characterizing color.
